    1/6 The Toccata framing clarifies something critical: Kaspa isn't choosing between L1 covenants and based ZK. It's building both paths and letting developers choose the right tool for their use case. Most chains force a single paradigm. Kaspa architected for dual programmability from the start. 2/6 L1 Covenants (Silverscript): -> P2P-oriented applications -> Local UTXO computation -> Stateful multi-contract flows Based ZK (vprogs runtime): -> Sequencing commitment access -> Proof-based L1-L2 bridging -> Proofs scale with app activity (KIP-21) Same foundation. Different execution models. 3/6 The key architectural decision: KIP-21 (partitioned sequencing commitments) had to be finalized before activation. Once zk circuits bind to a hashing structure, changes = breaking changes. June delay = strategic. Lock in correct architecture from the start. 4/6 Why KIP-21 matters: Without proofs scaling with app activity vs overall DAG activity, the term "apps" doesn't hold. This is what enables standalone
