Robinhood partners with dYdX Labs to launch a decentralized exchange named Arcus. Robinhood has just partnered with dYdX Labs to launch Arcus, a decentralized exchange operating on Robinhood Chain, the layer‑2 blockchain network the company recently inaugurated. Arcus enables users to trade perpetual contracts and 95 tokenized stocks for free, opening access to the US stock market for global users without dependence on trading hours or geographic barriers. This move is aimed at directly competing with Hyperliquid, a crypto perpetual contract platform that has surged strongly in recent times.

According to Wu, dYdX Labs announced the launch of Arcus, a decentralized exchange built on Robinhood Chain, offering 95 tokenized stocks with 24/7 trading and perpetual contract products. Subsequently, dYdX Foundation posted an explanation stating that Arcus will not affect the operation of the dYdX Chain, which remains governed by DYDX token holders and secured by a validator network. The foundation indicated that trading, deposits/withdrawals, staking, governance, and validator operations on the dYdX Chain all continue as normal; the DYDX token, serving as the governance and staking token of the dYdX Chain, has unchanged mechanisms, supply, and operational model.
