What is RTD?

"Each consensus epoch comprises a majority of honest blocks."

NOT: Fast confirmation times
YES: Continuous real time sampling of the honest majority

The distinction matters.

One is UX. The other is fundamental security.

The math behind RTD:

Probability that minority attacker controls majority of blocks in a window:

Pr(byzantine ≥ 50%) ≤ O(exp(-c*T*λ))

Where λ = blocks per second

At 10 BPS: 12% attack probability
At 100 BPS: 0.3% attack probability

Exponential improvement, not linear.

Bitcoin: 1 block/10 minutes = sampling every 600 seconds
Kaspa (10 BPS): 10 blocks/second = sampling 6000x more frequently
