been paying closer attention to how @RiverdotInc and @River4fun are structuring gRiver lately and honestly it feels less like a normal staking system now
more like a coordination layer between reputation, participation, and access
what stood out to me most:
→ i could move delegation power around without touching my actual $RIVER position
→ some higher quality tasks were gated behind certain gRiver ranges which honestly makes sense because it filters out short-term farm behavior
→ campaigns starting to target different gRiver bands differently feels interesting too
almost like reputation routing instead of random distribution
the bigger thing i keep thinking about is this:
if gRiver keeps becoming portable reputation across seasons, then governance and rewards stop being about pure noise or engagement farming
and become more tied to consistency, contribution, and actual long-term participation
feels like the ecosystem is slowly experimenting with “proof of involvement” instead of just “proof of attention”
still early obviously
but the direction itself feels smarter than most seasonal systems i’ve seen lately
