    Take the Bitcoin bears' own math and run it forward one cycle: Bitcoin never makes a new all-time high again. Ever. That is not a bear case. That is a broken model.     Bitcoin has one number that no one in the world knows. It is the “actual number of lost bitcoins”. The issuance cap is 21 million coins, which everyone knows. However, among them are coins that have become permanently unspendable. Coins from early miners who lost their private keys. Wallets that cannot be opened because the password was forgotten. Assets whose owners died and were not passed on to anyone. According to estimates by research firms, about 3 to 4 million BTC have already been lost forever. In other words, the amount that can actually circulate might be around 17 million. Moreover, the lost coins will continue to increase gradually. There is something to notice here. While the yen is printed and increases each year, Bitcoin not only does not increase from the 21‑million cap but actually keeps decreasing in practice. It is sometimes called “digital gold,” but it is actually rarer than gold. Gold is still being mined, and its supply keeps growing. Bitcoin’s supply has stopped, and it is quietly being lost over time. Such an asset is unprecedented in human history. The price changes every day. Yet this “continuously decreasing scarcity” is quietly progressing even today. It doesn’t appear in the news.
