Cardano (ADA)

I believe all the IO proposals for #Cardano are needed. I appreciate that most of the $ADA community actually agrees. They just have issues with the cost. A huge part of what we can sell as our unique offering is our security, uptime, future proofing, and world class R&D👇. In a world with quantum computers, AI, constant hacks, security breeches, lackluster uptime, exploits etc, Cardano is an oasis that can be monetized. That DNA comes from our R&D built up over a decade. It would be foolish to throw that out. Of all the proposals that needs to pass it should be the one that keeps that alive. We need more "hands on" proof of concept demos of how "regular" users can use Cardano that are easily portable to non-crypto trade shows and events. Proof of Onboarding is okay but still a lot of friction trying to explain which of 18 different wallets a user should use... What about IoT sensors that log the temperature of the room every X minutes and record the data on chain? Point of Sale (POS) demos, etc. Combo this with a screen showing something like https://t.co/ERKHDQlA7I so users can "see" the transaction happening in at-or-near real time

I feel deep sorrow for Charles's post this morning. Naming a specific community as “Japanese DRep” is incompatible with the decentralized governance philosophy that Cardano originally aims for. No votes are cast by each DRep based on their own judgment criteria, regardless of region, and each reason is disclosed. This governance model is precisely the result of IO Research's study. I myself have been an ADA holder since 2018, love the future‑oriented and correct blockchain vision that Cardano seeks, and have patiently supported the community. While Catalyst and the current governance are implementations of IO Research's成果, they are arguably not functioning sufficiently as mechanisms to maximize holder benefits, and they are at a stage where redesign is needed, yet concrete moves in that direction are not yet visible. Additionally, linking support or opposition to specific proposals with “loyalty to the community” or “continuation of research” tends to shrink governance. What is needed is constructive discussion of the proposal content itself, not personal attacks on DReps who cast No votes or regional calls. We should review each DRep's rationale for opposing votes and discuss the proposal's appropriate budget and effectiveness.
